Weston Wilson, EPA Whistleblower, at CPNY Summit

Weston Wilson, the EPA whistle-blower featured in Josh Fox’s film “Gasland”, made a surprise visit to the Coalition to Protect New York (CPNY) summit in Binghamton, NY on June 19, 2010 and delivered the first keynote. When an EPA study concluding that hydraulic fracturing “poses little or no threat” to drinking water supplies was published in 2004, he was one of several EPA scientists who challenged the study’s methodology and questioned the impartiality of the expert panel that reviewed its findings. EPA Findings on Hydraulic Fracturing Deemed “Unsupportable”.

Dick Cheney’s fingerprints were all over it. Wilson delves into the history with humor appropriate for such a deadly serious topic.
