About 16,800 gallons of recycled water from a Range Resources natural gas well impoundment in Washington County spilled this morning after a subcontractor accidentally struck a water line being used to transport the fluid.Range spokesman Matt Pitzarella said the line was ruptured this morning at about 9:20 near a gas well site along Farrar School Road in Hopewell. The line was not in use at the time, Mr. Pitzarella said, but still contained some of the water, which had been treated and recycled for use in hydraulic fracturing operations.
