Last week’s oil industry conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Houston was supposed to be an industry confab just like any other — a series of panel discussions, light refreshments and an exchange of ideas.

It was a gathering of professionals to discuss “media and stakeholder relations” in the hydraulic fracturing industry — companies using the often-controversial oil and gas extraction technique known as “fracking.”

But things took an unexpected twist.

CNBC has obtained audiotapes of the event, on which one presenter can be heard recommending that his colleagues download a copy of the Army and Marine Corps counterinsurgency manual.

That’s because, he said, the opposition facing the industry is an “insurgency.”

The speaker,  Matt Pitzarella is heard discussing using military counter insurgency and psychological operations against the free people of America. What kind of a person would do this for money?  What kind of company would authorize this?
I recommend that every free citizen raise your voices over this inside agenda against the free people. The oil and gas industry is clearly facing viable resistance because their practices appear to be unethical, unregulated in safe practices and are forcing a rogue industry on top of the people. We cannot sit idle and let this happen to us.  The people will surmount an effort much greater than any counter insurgency he could imagine.  Welcome to the hornets nest.

Definition

Insurgency can be defined as ‘the organized use of subversion and violence to seize, nullify, or challenge political control of a region.’

Insurgents seek to subvert or displace the government and completely or partially control the resources and population of a given territory. They do so through the use of force (including guerrilla warfare, terrorism and coercion/intimidation), propaganda, subversion and political mobilization. Insurgents fight government forces only to the extent needed to achieve their political aims: their main effort is not to kill counterinsurgents, but rather to establish a competitive system of control over the population, making it impossible for the government to administer its territory and people. Insurgent activity is therefore designed to weaken government controland legitimacy while increasing insurgent control and influence.

You forget, it's not tactics, but the sheer 'Will' of the people that prevails.
