Dear President Obama,
We—a group of Nobel Peace Laureates—
are writing today to ask you to do the right thing for our environment and reject the proposal to build the Keystone XL, a 1700-mile pipeline that would stretch from Canada’s Alberta tar sands to the Texas Gulf Coast.
It is your decision to make.
The night you were nominated for president, you told the world that under your leadership—and working together—the rise of the oceans will begin to slow and the planet will begin to heal. You spoke of creating a clean energy economy. This is a critical moment to make good on that pledge, and make a lasting contribution to the health and well being of everyone of this planet.

There are so many more ways to harness energy, and fracking is not one of them. Use Solar Energy, Wind Energy... Clean Renewable energy. Now is the time to invest in these alternatives.
ReplyDeleteWe demand the GREEN JOBS promised in the 2008 election cycle. We want to develop RENEWABLE ENERGY NOW. This includes SOLAR, WIND TURBINE, MAGNETIC, GEO THERMAL and HYDRO KINETIC. LET US END THE ENDLESS WARS AND FUND NEW ENERGY PROJECTS FOR ALL THE GENERATIONS TO COME IN PEACE.
ReplyDeleteAn explosive report demolishing gas industry claims that coal seam gas is "clean energy" has been suppressed by the board of the company that wrote it.
ReplyDeleteThe report was commissioned by the not for profit renewable energy research group Beyond Zero Emissions and fully completed in September.
We call on WorleyParsons to immediately deliver the complete and unaltered original document completed two months ago to Beyond Zero Emissions as they are contractually obliged to do.
